Vito, thank you for your post. Though I take a very different view of Revelation in terms of the date and the hope (puritan reformed postmill view, global awakeing by preaching), I think we can agree on this: One day America will be no more, and the Kingdom of God will subsume everything.
Hi Brian, happy belated Reformation Day. Whenever I teach the various eschatological position’s in Christian theology, I always remind my students that each eschatological view is biblically faithful, and the end result is the same: Satan’s revolt, defeat, and judgment (Rev. 20:7–10). The resurrection and the judgment of the unrighteous (Rev. 20:11–15). The eternal state, with a new Jerusalem coming down from heaven to a transformed and regenerated new earth (Revelation 21–22). Glory be to the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen. Come, Lord Jesus, come.
